Home-made Basil Pesto

An easy-to-make pesto!
Ingredients:
4 | cup | Fresh basil, packed | |
12 | cloves1 | Garlic | |
½ to ¾ | cup | Walnuts2, chopped | |
1 | cup | Parmesan cheese, grated | |
1 | cup | Olive oil | |
to | taste | Salt |
Directions:
- For best distribution, grind the walnuts and Parmesan cheese- especially if they are only coarsely chopped.
- Measure all components into a food processor and process until it "looks right".
Makes about 2 cups of pesto, and can easily be doubled or divided.
The amount of garlic to be used is negotiable. Personally, I don't think you can have too much garlic in pretty much anything.
If the final product seems too dry, add more olive oil.
